The 35th Annual Seafood Festival Expects Over 60,000 to Attend
(PRWEB) September 05, 2013 -- Bud and Alley’s restaurant in Seaside will host the 9th Annual Hurricane Party on September 27th. The party will begin at 7pm with all of the proceeds going to the Children’s Volunteer Health Network. This popular event raised over $34,000 last year. Local DJ Joey will be providing entertainment for the evening and guests can enjoy great food and drinks. Accommodations can be made to stay overnight at nearby vacation rentals in the area.
The popular Destin Fishing Rodeo takes over the month of October for its 65th year. This is the ultimate fishing tournament for salt water anglers. Weigh-ins will take place every day in October at A.J’s Seafood and Oyster Bar from 10am-7pm. Over 30,000 compete in the tournament with over $100,000 awarded in cash and prizes.The 35th Annual Seafood Festival will be October 4th-6th along the Destin Harbor and Boardwalk. Over 60,000 visitors are expected to come and enjoy fresh seafood, live music, fireworks, much more. There will be six stages for bands including local reggae favorite Heritage, the Forrest Williams Band, and Cadillac Willy. It is a family friendly event with three kid zones for arts and crafts, rock climbing, magic show and zipline. The festival requires no admission cost but donations can be made at the door.
The Baytowne Beer Festival will run its 6th year on October 18th and 19th from 2pm-6pm. Guests can enjoy specialty beer from around the country with over 200 domestic and international craft beer from over forty breweries available. There will also be live entertainment by Denton Hatcher and the Soapbox Blues. At Henderson Beach State Park, the Festival of the Arts will set up on October 26th at 10am. With over 100 artists to display their creations, more than 4,000 are expected to attend. Along with fine art and crafts, there will be children’s activities, food and live music as well.
