Denver, Colorado (PRWEB) September 04, 2013 -- Like the car it’s named after, the Honda Civic Tour just keeps on rolling. Now, after 12 years on the road, this latest iteration is Honda’s longest running effort to date, with 34 stops through-out North America.
This year’s tour is powered by high-octane acts Maroon 5 and Kelly Clarkson, along with previous The Voice contestants Rozzi Crane, Tony Lucca, and PJ Morton. The annual Honda-sponsored production was first rolled out in 2001. Each year, the headliners customize a Honda Civic for concert-goers to win in a raffle.
After hitting the road on August 1, the crew is now roughly halfway through its yearly jaunt and performs at the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center in Darien Center, New York tonight September 4, 2013.
Tomorrow night, the schedule calls for a stop at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, before heading on to Bristow and Virginia Beach, Virginia; Raleigh and Charlotte, North Carolina; Tampa and West Palm Beach, Florida; Atlanta, Georgia; Austin, The Woodlands and Dallas, Texas; Englewood, Colorado; and Ridgefield and George, Washington.
After performances in Wheatland, Mountain View, Irvine and Chula Vista – the tour wraps at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California on October 6, 2013.
“The Honda Civic Tour is very popular again this year, due to the pulling power of both Maroon 5 and Kelly Clarkson,” said Felina Martinez at online ticket marketplace BuyAnySeat.com.
“Although seats sell out closer to show time, we’re proud to be able to offer fans the most comprehensive and continuously refreshed selection of concert tickets, with a worry-free guarantee to protect their purchase,” said Martinez.
“In fact, we have a good inventory of Honda Civic Tour tickets available right now,” said Martinez. “Customers can go to BuyAnySeat.com and search for the Honda Civic Tour – then select their tickets,” said Martinez.
Pop rock band Maroon 5 was formed in Los Angeles in 1997 by a group of high-school students named Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden and Ryan Dusick. They released an album as Kara’s Flowers, and after little success, they went on to college. After that, they regrouped, added James Valentine to the lineup, and pursued a new direction as Maroon 5.
After early success, their fourth album, Overexposed in June 2012, peaked at Number Two on the Billboard 200 chart. Its first two singles, "Payphone" and "One More Night", were both international hits and peaked at Number Two and One respectively on the Hot 100 chart.
Since debuting in 2002, the group has sold over 37 million albums worldwide. They have also sold over 15 million digital singles in the United States, and they won a Grammy Award in 2005 for best new artist.
The tour’s co-headliner is known for her vibrant vocal versatility and phenomenal range. Kelly Brianne Clarkson (born April 24, 1982) is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She hit the mainstream in 2002 after winning the first season of American Idol.
Her debut single, "A Moment Like This", topped the US Billboard Hot 100 and broke the record for the biggest jump to Number One in the chart's history. In just over 10 years, the singing star has accumulated 84 Number Ones on the Billboard charts, and 11 Number One singles worldwide.
In addition to selling over 20 million albums worldwide, Clarkson has also earned three Grammy Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, 12 Billboard Music Awards, four American Music Awards and a Women's World Award. (Source: wikipedia.org)
