Lowe’s YMCA Taste of the Lake Offers a Night of Food, Fun and Philanthropy
Mooresville, NC (PRWEB) September 03, 2013 -- Saturday, September 14, 6:00 – 10:00 p.m., the Lowe’s YMCA will host the fifth annual Taste of the Lake at the lakeside home of Betty and Randy Marion. The event will include delicious food and beverages from Lake Norman’s premiere restaurants, music, live auction and silent auction.
Sponsored by MI-Connection, proceeds from the event will benefit the Lowe’s YMCA Community Support Campaign. The event goal is to raise over $70,000 to help the Y build a healthier Mooresville community, improve children's literacy skills through Y Readers, and provide free cancer wellness programs.
“Taste of the Lake is the Lowe’s YMCA’s premier fundraiser. In addition to great food and fellowship, this event allows our guests to have a meaningful and direct impact on improving lives right here in our community,” says Erika Arnold, District Executive Director. “Through the generous contributions of our donors and the support of the Marions, we are able to provide critical programs and services to families in need.”
