Austin, Texas (PRWEB) September 05, 2013 -- Beetnik, an Austin-based internet retailer of high quality natural foods, celebrated its first year of operations in an unusual way. On Thursday, August 29th, the company’s founder & chef had a chef throw-down with Kyle McKinney of Barley Swine.
Citygram hosted the event at Beetnik’s headquarters in East Austin which was attended by about 200 people.
In its first year of operations, more than 15,000 customers in nearly every state have ordered Beetnik’s products.
“We’re very proud of the strides we’ve taken in our first year of operations, and we’re encouraged by the positive feedback we’ve received in our community and across the country,” commented Beetnik founder and CEO, David Perkins. “Increasingly, consumers are concerned with the sources, agricultural methods, environmental impact and social responsibility of food suppliers, and we think that creates a great opportunity for small companies like Beetnik, who are trying to take all of these issues into account in their business practices.”
Further demonstrating their commitment to their ideals, Beetnik announced investments in Jacobs Bastrop Ranch and Dewberry Hills Farm to secure the supply of high quality and ethically farmed grass-fed beef and pasture-raised chicken.
