Austin-Based PocketLovey Company Issued First Patent

The PocketLovey is a handcrafted innovation on the traditional “lovey” or transitional object, designed to help infants and children of all ages develop and feel secure.
The patent D657,178 is for an ornamental comforter with pouch for use by a baby or child for stimulation or security. The unique developmental toy consists of a fabric pouch with a plurality of plush fabric drapes attached to the interior, each a different shape and texture that children use for self-comfort and independent play. The drapes can be folded completely within and hidden inside the toy itself or unfolded to extend outside of the PocketLovey.
