VIDASOUL Hotel Celebrates Grand Opening on the East Cape of Los Cabos, Mexico
San Jose del Cabo, B.C.S. Mexico (PRWEB) September 06, 2013 -- Portales Los Cabos and Crossroads Developments, an architecture firm and development company in San Jose del Cabo, B.C.S., recently celebrated it’s grand opening of a 16-room boutique hotel and is now open for business. The resort, VIDASOUL Hotel, is a welcome addition to the East Cape community and is located in Boca de las Vinoramas, B.C.S., between Cabo Pulmo and Los Zacatitos.
The concept is sophisticated design and architecture in a tranquil and remote desert oasis with an underlying emphasis on adventure and excitement, such as surfing, kite boarding, ATV excursions, and scuba diving. “The idea is for the guests to spend their days here surfing, horseback riding, or just relaxing, and then come back to an artful environment that invokes creativity and encourages spirited conversations,” says architect and developer Tobias Hafenecker-Dodge.
VIDASOUL Hotel adds a level of elegance to the East Cape of the B.C.S. and does so by integrating nature into the design concept of the architecture. “The hotel’s design is a direct translation of the floating rocks and eroding granite formations throughout Baja into experiential architectural form. Timelessness and self-sufficiency were at the foundations of our design process,” says Hafenecker-Dodge. “We now have the largest solar array on the East Cape. That is something I am very proud of,” Hafenecker-Dodge also added.
The hotel’s restaurant, The Crossroads, has been serving Italian and Mexican cuisine to the East Cape for over 10 years. The food is known for its bold flavors and fresh, local ingredients. “All of our seafood is caught right here in the Sea of Cortez and is delivered to us by the local fishermen. In such a small community, we really understand how important it is to support our local farmers and vendors,” says Joan Hafenecker, co-owner and executive chef of The Crossroads. Other amenities include beachfront or in-room spa treatment, concierge services, corporate retreats and meeting space, and a private beach.
VIDASOUL Hotel accommodations consists of six 2nd-floor ocean-view king rooms, four 2nd-floor ocean-view king suites, one 2nd-floor beachfront king luxury sweet, and four plaza-level ocean-view rooms with 2 queen beds. The U-shaped building makes for great courtyard space that can be utilized for live music events and outdoor meeting space for corporate retreats. Co-owner Joan Hafenecker says, “With just 16 rooms, the intimate size of the hotel makes the space an incredible venue for weddings and corporate functions. It’s an opportunity to reserve the entire hotel without breaking the budget.”
