Shier Quintuplet Will Attend Fashion College FIDM to Study Fashion Merchandising
Orange County, CA (PRWEB) September 05, 2013 -- Seventeen year-old high school senior Sarah Shier is so passionate about studying at FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising that she applied early to the fashion college to study Merchandise Marketing. One-fifth of the famed Shier Quintuplets, who have been followed by the media since their birth, Sarah attends Saddleback Valley Christian School where she runs cross-country. “It forces me to be active even on the days I don’t want to be,” she explains.
Sarah says that getting into FIDM this summer was one of her proudest accomplishments in life, and she hopes to work as a buyer or stylist in the fashion industry after graduation. “I think what made FIDM right for me was that I would be around people who love what I love and know that fashion is what they want to do with their life,” she says. “For my entrance project I created a look book of clothes that you would find in my store called Pretty Simple. It consisted of laid back, comfortable clothes that are affordable, but also stylish.”
The Mission Viejo, California native says that she hopes to learn more about the industry, meeting new people, and having fun. And while she has an incredibly unique life with two brothers and two sisters who are her “built in best friends,” she says that in her spare time, “I like hanging with my friends and going to the movies and of course shopping!”
