London (PRWEB UK) 5 September 2013 -- Credo, the London based strategy consulting firm, has recruited Jim Barclay, ex-Merseytravel Finance Director and Interim Chief Executive, as a Senior Advisor to help expand the company's capability in the public transport sector. Jim will support project delivery across the public and private sector, as well as contribute to the firm’s business development and thought leadership programmes.
Matt Lovering, a Director who leads Credo’s transport practice, said, "We are very pleased to welcome Jim. The continued pressure on the public purse places considerable challenges on transport authorities and operators to develop effective strategies for the most cost effective delivery of public transport services to drive economic growth, employment and social mobility. With his extensive knowledge of the UK rail and bus industries and his first-hand experience of planning and improving public transport in a major city, Jim will play a key role in helping our clients achieve these objectives.”
Barclay added, “Over the past couple of years, Credo has established a strong reputation in the transport sector for its combination of commercial insight and technical expertise. During this time, the firm has built up an impressive list of credentials and delivered a range of challenging and high profile assignments across the industry. I look forward to helping to develop the company’s offer, client base and expertise further.”
