AOTA Expands Partnership To Relaunch Flagship Journal on Silverchair Platform
Bethesda, MD/Charlottesville, VA (PRWEB) September 06, 2013 -- The American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) announced today that it is expanding its strategic product development partnership with Silverchair Information Systems (Silverchair) to develop and host its flagship American Journal of Occupational Therapy (AJOT) publication on Silverchair’s SCM6 platform. AJOT is the official peer-reviewed journal of AOTA and focuses on research, practice, and health care issues in the field of occupational therapy.
"We are enthusiastic to be expanding our relationship with Silverchair,” said Chris Davis, Director, AOTA Press. "After developing our soon-to-be-released online NBCOT Exam Prep site with Silverchair, we decided to bring AJOT to the SCM6 platform. The transition to Silverchair’s natively semantic product development and hosting platform will allow AJOT to deliver a more personalized experience to our readers and enhance discoverability of our articles.”
“We are delighted to be expanding our partnership with AOTA, the leader in advancing the quality, availability, use, and support of occupational therapy,” said Thane Kerner, Silverchair CEO. "Silverchair's flexible and powerful publishing platform provides the ideal framework for meeting the needs of AOTA’s diverse audience, and we’re pleased that our technology provides the agile product development environment required to support a wide range of AOTA products and publications.”
