Sugar Land Modern Dentistry/My Kid’s Dentist & Orthodontics Provides $7,953 in Donated Dentistry to Community Members in Need
Sugar Land, Texas (PRWEB) September 04, 2013 -- Sugar Land Modern Dentistry/My Kid’s Dentist & Orthodontics served their community on August 24, 2013, by participating in the third annual Smile Generation Serve Day. Sugar Land Modern Dentistry/My Kid’s Dentist & Orthodontics provided pro-bono treatment to those in need, helping six community members during this community outreach event and providing $7,953 in donated dental services.
“Smile Generation Serve Day is a day of giving back to our community and it is something that we are very passionate about,” said Dr. Jacob Dent, D.D.S., Owner Dentist at Sugar Land Modern Dentistry/My Kid’s Dentist & Orthodontics. “When you see the work that you do brings a smile to a patient’s face, it is so rewarding and you are reminded how important it is to give back to those in the community who may not have access to dental care.”
Dr. Dent reached out to local clergyman and pastors who were in need of dental work. Patients received everything ranging from cleanings, exams, and digital x-rays to extractions and restorations. The supplies for the treatments were donated by Henry Schein® Dental. Henry Schein is the largest provider of health care products and services to office-based practitioner.
More than 250 Smile Generation-trusted offices participated in Smile Generation Serve Day. The Smile Generation is committed to partnering with their network of dental offices to ensure that community needs are being met and to making a difference in the lives of others.
