Guardtime Labs is set to showcase KSI based automotive-grade solutions for M2M integrity, reliability, and resilience in the Connected Car market.

Guardtime USA today announced the formation of Guardtime Labs in San Francisco, California. Guardtime Labs is where Keyless Signature Infrastructure (KSI™) is showcased as a solution for Information Assurance and Software Assurance for critical industry segments. With an initial focus on automotive-grade M2M products in the Connected Car market, Guardtime USA has worked closely with the executive accrediting agencies of the US Government to lead the development of automotive-grade solutions for M2M integrity, reliability, and resilience.

The development activities at Guardtime Labs includes work with select Asian car manufacturers, telecom carriers, System-On-Chip (SOC), and FPGA developers and suppliers to create new Vehicle Identification capabilities based on robust software, model, and automotive OEM-unique attributes. Guardtime Labs will also extend existing Guardtime products to address the cyber security roadmap established by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Cybersecurity research program.

“Software reliability in the transportation sector is critical and real-time integrity monitoring of software to support safety critical functions and Cloud-based Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) is a must in (these) highly connected environments,” said Mike Gault, CEO of Guardtime. “The attack surfaces affecting vehicles have increased in correlation to the networks available to connected vehicles. Consequently, we are directing the experience gained securing the defense Unmanned Air Vehicle Systems community; in the context of common services and open architecture, and taking those solutions to the transportation industry.”

About Guardtime
Guardtime brings transparency and accountability to digital society. Founded in 2007, Guardtime invented Keyless Signature Infrastructure (KSI) - a technology that allows any type of electronic activity to be independently verified using only formal mathematical methods, without the need for trusted administrators. Deployed by world governments, KSI provides an independent audit trail for everything that happens in digital society, limiting liability and making it impossible for insiders or sophisticated cyber attackers to manipulate data and cover their tracks. Implementing Guardtime KSI technology ensures reliable communications, travel, shopping, banking, and identity and privacy protection.
