Corey Fancy Wins the Abadak 50 at Willow Springs Raceway Sponsored by Abadak Inc.
(PRWEB) September 04, 2013 -- Abadak Outdoor Gear sponsored the self-titled Abadak 50 stock car race at Willow Springs. The winner was the #29 Car, Corey Fancy; 2nd place went to #5 Car, Dana Moore; and the #70 Car Greg Austin came in 3rd. Chris Huth of Willow Springs and Matt Jackson of SWS Racing collaborated with Abadak to create the first annual Abadak 50. Antelope Valley, home to Edwards Air Force Base, has a large stock car fan base, which was self-evident at the Willow Springs Raceway event last Saturday.
Abadak CEO and founder Michael Stein said, “Outdoor gear and stock-car racing go together like peanut butter and jelly. We plan to grow this event every year to make it bigger and better.”
Abadak Inc. is the mother company to companies such as Ace Canopy and Tarps Plus supplied tarps and pop up tents for the event. Cars and their drivers were also on display at the Abadak headquarters in Palmdale, a day before the event.
Abadak is also planning other events in the Southern California area, such as the Veterans Day Gala, Tarp Aid for Thanksgiving homeless, Canopies for Kids and the happy buddies foundation, which aids education.
Abadak supplies poly tarps and canopies worldwide and aids in humanitarian efforts such as tornado and hurricane victims.
Chris Huth and Michael Stein will be working together to build Willow Springs and the Abadak 50 into an even bigger event for 2014, complete with vendors from other companies, amusement rides and restaurant food booths.
