The economy felt a new jot of power last week as Ford rolled out the new Ford Fusion; the first one ever to be manufactured in the United States.

The production comes on the heels of Ford’s commitment to adding 12,000 hourly jobs in the United States by 2015; a goal they are less than 25 percent away from reaching. The company added nearly 6,500 new hourly and salaried employees in 2013 alone.

Lucas Ford, of Burlington, NJ—the premier dealer of Ford automobiles in the Burlington area— celebrates Ford’s decision to move manufacturing back to the Unites States. With record high Fusion sales coming from their dealership, Ford’s renewed commitment to American manufacturing couldn’t come at a better time.

The new, American-built Ford Fusion comes in eight models from the S class all the way up to the Fusion Energi Titanium. Each model has Ford’s cutting-edge technology and is designed to be fuel efficient, powerful and fun to drive. Both the hybrid and Energi models are powered by a combination of electric motor and high-efficiency gasoline engine; the optional EcoBoost engines help drivers get the most fuel efficiency possible without sacrificing power and speed.

Fusion is also known for its user-friendly interior interface. With SYNC service featuring MyFord Touch, drivers can browse music, make calls and adjust the cabin temperature all without taking their attention off the road. The Fusion will even read incoming text messages aloud so drivers can stay connected safely.

Ford’s revolutionary technology can be found in more vehicles than just the Fusion. The seven passenger Ford Explorer is the most fuel efficient vehicle in its class with an EPA-estimated combined 23mpg; allowing drivers to roam on or off road as they please. The Ford Escape crossover takes green to a whole new level with soybean derived seat cushions and carpet made from recycled plastic bottles. The Escape also features the class exclusive foot-activated lift gate making it easy for drivers to load and unload cargo.

With so many Ford options to choose from, there has never been a better time to buy American.
