The advanced software includes fast tuning, service following and service linking algorithm. Fast tuning enables the user to re-tune to a radio service during disruption while service following and service linking enable users to recover the selected service or to switch to other services via hard linking or soft linking.
The advanced software algorithm enables the single tuner to exchange information with the host processor to achieve autonomous DAB to DAB or DAB to FM service following behaviour. The simplified service following behaviour runs on single DAB / DAB+ tuner. Nowadays most existing automotive DAB/DAB+ solutions are using dual tuners for achieving the same task. By employing KeyStone advanced software algorithm, a single KeyStone DAB / DAB+ module would provide the seamless listening experience to users.
