KeyStone Made the World’s First Journaline and DAB Slide Show Debut on Smart Phones
(PRWEB) September 07, 2013 -- KeyStone Semiconductor Corp. (KeyStone), a fabless semiconductor developer of advanced digital radio turn-key technology, announces that a joint project with Fraunhofer IIs, the world’s renowned source for digital radio and audio technologies for receiving and displaying Journaline live news information and slide show on smart phones.
This invention enables digital radio makers to produce true low-cost DAB radios combining with KeyStone’s patent-awarded Bluetooth Radio Wizard (BRW) technology. Both color slide show and Journaline content can be wirelessly transmitted and browsed conveniently on Bluetooth enabled devices, smart phones, and tablets.
Journaline, the standardized advanced text application for digital radio, offers mass live information available on digital radio receivers, easily accessible to the listener by browsing the broadcaster-defined categories while listening to his preferred station. Implementation of Journaline on smartphones and tablets enable users to browse this broadcasted text information easily and can be further hyper-linked to online web pages for more details, or to phone numbers for direct call-ins to talk shows, or to SMS messages to easily participate in polls and to order the featured songs. It creates a completely new interactive experience for users when listening to the digital radio, bridging the gap between digital radio and interactive services.
Live demonstration of DAB/DAB+ slide show and Journaline via BRW technology on Android platforms will be shown at Fraunhofer IIs booth at IFA Hall 11.1/21 from 7 Sept to 11 Sept, 2013 and held at KeyStone’s suite at Renaissance Harbor View Hotel, Wan Chai, Hong Kong during Hong Kong Electronics Fair from October 13 to October 16, 2013.
KeyStone is a WorldDMB, Bluetooth SIG and DRM Consortium members. Its DAB/DAB+ modules are certified by Apple MFi programs. Products employing KeyStone DAB/DAB+ modules and BRW technology are available at Apple Store. Samples and demo units are available for ordering.
