Design Thinking for Startups Workshop at Delight 2013 Features Dash Mobile, WalmartLabs, GlobeSherpa and More
Portland, OR (PRWEB) September 05, 2013 -- The Design Thinking for Startups Workshop, one of the multiple workshops offered as part of the Delight Conference, has announced new speakers, including Upstart Labs, GlobeSherpa, Dash, Wal-Mart Labs, and Janrain.
The Delight 2013 Design Thinking for Startups Workshop is a hands-on, participatory half-day workshop intended to help early-stage digital startups leverage customer-centric experience design to create products that can change the world.
Mentored by a multidisciplinary team including leading figures in the Portland entrepreneurial and design communities, this workshop will give each participant an opportunity to advance their in-progress ideas, refine their designs with peer feedback, and deliver a more effective minimum viable product. Workshop leaders include:
• Jenn Lynch, Upstart Labs – As Co-founder and Partner at Upstart Labs, Jenn has more than a decade of software product management, product marketing and user experience design experience.
• Nat Parker, GlobeSherpa – Nat is the Co-founder and CEO of GlobeSherpa, developing and evangelizing technology that is revolutionizing mobile ticketing experiences.
• Jeanne Turner, WalmartLabs – Jeanne is leading user experience design at @WalmartLabs to create new mobile ecommerce solutions.
• Jamyn Edis, Dash – Jamyn is the Founder and CEO of Dash Labs, focusing on consumer mobile and web technologies like DASH, “the FitBit of cars.”
• Kyle Simukka, Janrain – Kyle breaks the mold at Janrain by embodying a cross-functional developer and designer role to focus on great user-centered design.
Workshop attendees can apply insights and experiences from the workshop at day two of the conference, which features a Disrupting with Delight panel led by Dylan Boyd of the Nike+ Accelerator.
The Startup Bundle conference pass provides access to the workshop and the Main Day Event with keynotes and case studies from beloved brands including Zipcar, Nike, Intuit and Disney. Delight 2013 is part of Design Week Portland, which organizes more than 50 design focused events around the city.
