“We spent a lot of money on direct mail, which is obviously very expensive,” said owner Brian Wilkins. “E-newsletters cost so much less. We’re seeing good results out of it. That’s something that the email integration through IDS CRM allows us to do more effectively. Previously we used our web provider to help us create e-newsletters. It can be a little expensive, and emailing through IDS CRM is a more cost-effective way.”

Now that Brian and his staff can create affordable e-newsletters more frequently, they plan to showcase a different department each week.

“In the past we’ve been inconsistent in creating and sending out e-newsletters,” said Brian. “We now average about two per month and we’re trying to get to the point where we send one per week. We’re trying to rotate our newsletters among the departments which means once a month we’ll send a sales-related newsletter, once a month we’ll send a parts-related newsletter, once a month it will be service-related and once a month we will send a letter that will be related to the products that we sell in the business office.”

In addition to more targeted communication, the dealership is benefiting from automated follow-up capabilities and improved sales management.
