Garden City, NY (PRWEB) September 05, 2013 -- Long Island, New York – September 6, 2013 - The Ultimate Body Arts Expo; This event will be a solid 3 days of tattoos, piercings, art, history, learning, music and so much more related to the tattoo and the arts industry. Set within the amazing backdrop of the museum’s antique planes, space and aviation displays; this show is sure to be the first of its kind. The show is focused on art, history, learning and of course tattoos and body piercing.
Some of the world’s most renowned tattoo artists will be on hand, to not only tattoo, but to also lead instructional seminars open to industry professionals and the public. There will be an array of seminars to attend; such as watercolor painting, the history of tattooing, marketing, machine building and tuning and many more. There will be artists represented from around the globe- from Russia, Italy, China, Japan with artists doing traditional hand poked Tebori, Sweden, Ireland, Spain and of course the good old USA.
Just to name a few artists in attendance; we will have Roman Abrego from Best Ink, Jon Mesa from Best Ink, Big Gus from Tattoo Nightmares, Shane O’Neil from InkMasters and Shanghai Kate Hellenbrand- otherwise known as the “Godmother of Tattooing”. Kate will be presenting a seminar called “Voodoo to Vogue” describing the roles of women in tattooing. She will also be hosting the screening of the movie Tattoo Nation, which she has a role in. She will also, of course, be tattooing and selling her tattoo memorabilia.
The New York Tattoo Show, United Ink will also be having entertainment on the outdoor stage all weekend. There will be bands, suspension shows, freak shows, magic shows; and believe or not a few weddings thrown in.
The convention will also be holding various contests for tattoos and piercings, a Pin Up contest and a surfboard painting contest, in which the proceeds will go to charity.
New for the 2013 event is the Artist Hanger and Fusion Project, which will be exhibiting Fine Art that you will find the works of Master Artist Francisco Ciccio Poblet (student of Salvador Dali), Dave Rogers, International Photographer Mark Velazquez and many other local Long Island Artist and Tattoo Artist.
This is an event geared towards the entire family with kids based events happening all day until 8pm. There will be a supervised kids’ corner with a coloring station, temporary tattoos and more fun.
