New York, NY (PRWEB) September 05, 2013
Shoe Week’s 2nd season of NYFW events kicks focus on the 5 Senses of Style. Events allow invited fashion and entertainment media, fashion industry, personalities and digital influencers to see and experience luxury shoe shows and events from Sept 4th – 12th, 2013.
This season kicked-off with a launch party debuting Shoe Week’s week-long window display at Angelica Flowers and Events with SCHEÉ Shoes and their “65 Roses” collection, which benefits Cystic Fibrosis. Dubbed 'Pump Paradise,' guests toasted the start of Shoe Week’s NYFW season immersed in flowers, shoes and 'Blind Devins,' featuring Art in the Age’s RHUBARB Liqueur and Grand Marnier Cherry. "There is so much planning that goes into each season of our events and I’m really pleased with the alignments and partnerships that we have made to make our Shoe Week engaging! I’m so excited for our brands and invited attendees to not only enjoy calendared events, but to also continue to support all involved in NYFW,” explained Co-Founder/Creative Director and Accessories Expert, Kimmie Smith. "By identifying Shoe Lifestyle as a core component of our brand heritage, it’s truly thrilling to see how it will be embraced by our attendees this year."
Following the SCHEÉ Shoes Window launch, Shoe Week will present a Penthouse Presentation today, with Elly Clay shoes and handbags and Von Vonni’s popular Transformer Dress, amongst a rainbow of Seagram’s Escapes. It's classic, dynamic and edgy in mad men pent style.
“Elly Clay is so excited to be participating in Shoe Week! It’s an excellent platform to bring accessory lovers together with a handpicked group of established and emerging shoe designers,” stated Sara Utber, Elly Clay Brand Director. “So great to have an event that exclusively celebrates the shoe market in conjunction with NYFW!”
Further down the calendar is shoe shopping and bubbly at Ruia, showcasing a number of coveted European designers and hosted by Barefoot Wine and Bubbly. Hot special priced heels will sizzle the room. Protect Your Pumps, Swathe Brands and Zico will help guests cool down.
"Accessories are as culturally loved and embraced as much as apparel today, if not more,” says Paul Farkas Co-Founder/CEO, Shoe Week. “Creating a fashion week for shoes marks an important milestone for fashion. Footwear Forward is here.”
Shoe Week's shoe fashion show ‘A Night in Marrakech,’ stars Alejandra G with AMARA Swim. Hosted by Smirnoff Sorbet Light, DJ Eloy and performance artists will ignite the senses at Le Souk. The Sugar Cookies' lingerie presentation is sure to satisfy footwear-fetish, and Shoe Week's calendar will close with a Style Tweetup for Pampered Pedis at Fix Beauty Bar. This social influencer-themed party allows hand-picked editors to chat all things accessories with Shoe Week’s Creative Director, Kimmie Smith, while enjoying relaxing pedis and sharing products and experiences with their social channels.
