Some of our competitors use powder to make their yogurt. We do not.
Alexandria, VA (PRWEB) September 10, 2013
The newest Zinga Frozen Yogurt store in Alexandria further underscores the franchise’s rapidly growing presence in Northern Virginia. There are now 11 Zinga stores in Virginia, all franchise owned.
The newest Zinga store is located in the Beacon Shopping Center, 6676 Richmond Highway in Alexandria. The new store is the first Northern Virginia store to be opened by Zinga franchisee Ashley Langland, a resident of nearby Arlington.
“This area is special to me,” said Ms. Langland. “I have lived in Alexandria and frequented this area for its convenient shopping and restaurants. I just love it!”
Langland indicated that the new store would be involved with local charities and civic organizations, high school groups and local sports programs. That’s in keeping with the Zinga practice of giving back to local organizations, many of which make up the customer base for the stores that have become community gathering places for everything from youth soccer teams to after school band get togethers.
The new franchisee is an evangelist when talking about her store’s fresh ingredients, myriad offerings and ability to help consumers make healthful choices.
“Some of our competitors use powder to make their yogurt. We do not,” she said. “And we love the fact that Zinga’s basic self serve offerings of frozen yogurt, fresh fruit and nuts can help promote weight loss, as suggested by a 2011 Harvard study.”
Zinga Frozen Yogurt is self-serve and is sold by the ounce. The store will offer a dozen yogurt flavors each day (including fat free and low fat) and more than 50 toppings. Some of the yogurt flavors: Triple Chocolate, Birthday Cake, Blueberry Tart, Café Au Lait, Chocolate Mint, Granny’s Apple Pie, Ooey Gooey Cinnamon Bun. For those who want a dairy free option, there are sorbets such as Mango Tango, Pink Lemonade and Watermelon, to name a few. In addition, a no sugar-added flavor is available daily. And newly added Greek yogurt features even more protein.
All of Zinga’s yogurt flavors meet the National Yogurt Association’s criteria for “live and active culture yogurt.”
To celebrate the opening, there will be a free Frozen Yogurt Grand Opening blast to anyone who “likes” the new store on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/ZingaBeaconCenter/.
Store hours are Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Phone: (703) 341-6797.
