Just days before the world renowned Port of Los Angeles Lobster Festival kicks off on September 13, 2013, the food provider, San Pedro Fish Market and Restaurant announced that they have coordinated with the Guinness Book of World Records to go after three more records.
"In past years, the Lobster Fest and San Pedro Fish Market and Restaurant have earned the world record for most seafood prepared on a single occasion," said Mike Ungaro, Vice President of the San Pedro Fish Market and Restaurant. "San Pedro has continued to develop though and that is why we worked to have Guinness come back for three more records."
The history making Lobster Festival is a key event in the Ports O' Call annual calendar for the Ports of Los Angeles. Coming just at the end of the summer season, tens of thousands of hungry Southern California residents descend on San Pedro for live Maine Lobster, flown in fresh prepared by the highly rated San Pedro Fish Market team on site.
"We have specially built facilities to handle the cooking of hundreds of lobsters at a time, which when you serve tens of thousands of all you can eat lobster dinners comes in very handy," continued Ungaro. "We expect with the great music, festival happenings, and the pursuit of culinary history, the crowds will have a great time."
In the midst of its largest year ever, the San Pedro Fish Market and Restaurant has been rated 4 of 5 stars by over 200 Yelp reviewers and had reports featured in over 100 media outlets nationally.
