The administrative offices for the New York Lizards unveiled a new youth travel team program today, complimented with the launch of an early youth skill set development program. The new travel team, titled the Lizards Elite will begin tryouts Mid-September.
The Lizards Elite tryouts will be held at Stillwell Park, located at 21 Southwoods Rd, in Syosset, NY on September 14, 15 and 21, 2013. Cost for registration is $60. Tryouts for each age group will be held as follows:

In addition to travel teams for boys in grades 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, and 9/10, the Lizards will also be launching the New York Lizards Elite Academy Developmental Program.
The Lizards Elite Academy Developmental Program is a unique experience for the beginner lacrosse player. The program is geared towards players who will be graduating high school in the years 2014, 2025 and 2026 (entering kindergarten, first grade and second grade for the 2013/2014 school year). It is a program designed to provide the building blocks that all lacrosse players should possess. The Lizards Elite Academy will be under the guidance of both professionally trained coaches as well members of the Lizards professional team.
The Lizards Elite Academy program will consist of 2 four-week programs. Participants in the Academy will have 90-minute weekly sessions which will include 45 minutes of skill development and 45 minutes of 7 on 7 games. Players can register for one, four-week program for $375, or register for both four-week programs for the price of $650."
