According to the BBC on August 29 in the article ‘Westcliff Bank Robbery CCTV Released’, police have released a CCTV image of a man who they wish to speak to regarding the incident which took place at the Lloyds TSB bank on London Road in Westcliff, Essex. The alleged robbery took place at 10 o’clock on August 19, where a man left the bank with a four-figure sum of money after informing staff that he had a gun. Despite this, the gun was not seen.
Essex Police are looking for a man who is thought to be in his 60s, and is described to be “of slim build, with grey hair and stubble on his face.” According to the BBC, he is seen on CCTV with two carrier bags and wearing a green or grey anorak.
