Cedar Rapids, IA (PRWEB) September 13, 2013
Serving Eastern Iowa and surrounding areas as a leader in workplace learning and performance, the Hawkeye Chapter of American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) strives to provide professional development opportunities and support to individuals, organizations, educational institutions and the communities they serve to achieve work related competence, performance and fulfillment. This commitment is highlighted in the chapter’s mission statement: “Through exceptional learning and performance, we create a world that works better.”
In alignment with that mission, Hawkeye ASTD is proud to announce a full-day seminar on “Remarkable Leadership” with Kevin Eikenberry. A renowned leadership expert, Eikenberry is also the Chief Potential Officer of The Kevin Eikenberry Group, a learning consulting company that specializes in helping organizations, teams and individuals reach their leadership potential.
Everyone is a leader; some just need to further develop their skills. On October 17, 2013, in Cedar Rapids from 8AM – 4PM, Eikenberry will share his leadership knowledge. Attendees will learn key habits of continual learners, how to build trusting relationships, apply strategies to improve organizational changes, and much more. Supervisors, managers, team leads, and future leaders are all invited to attend this valuable seminar.
Eikenberry’s business philosophy is that every person and every organization have extraordinary potential. Investments of time, energy, focus and money are required for that potential to be realized. He believes learning is an active, ongoing process, not a passive, one-time event. Learning, work and life should be fun; and, if trained properly, work (and learning) is play.
Register for the event at hawkeyeastd.org/events today to guarantee a seat at the seminar. ASTD members pay only $179, and non-members $199. Continental breakfast, boxed lunch, and snacks will be provided. All attendees will receive a copy of Eikenberry’s best-selling book, Remarkable Leadership..
