Arvada, Co. (PRWEB) September 09, 2013 -- BrightStar Education Group - Institute of Technology (IOT) has launched a new scholarship program that can provide financial assistance to those interested in enrolling in a culinary, medical, nursing, legal, business or technical program of study at any of the five IOT campuses.
All new students who apply for admission for an IOT program of study will be encouraged to apply for one of 6 academic program scholarships. All of the scholarships are for $2,000 with the exception of the Nursing Academic Program Scholarship (applicable to the Redding, CA and Salem, OR campuses) which is for $4,000.
To be considered to receive a scholarship award, the prospective student must meet all of the admissions requirements of IOT. The application process consists of completion of an application form, an essay, and two letters of recommendation.
William O. Hillard, President and Chief Executive Officer of BrightStar Education Group, stated, “We are pleased to offer all new IOT students the opportunity to apply for an academic program scholarship. Most IOT programs at all five campuses start every five weeks. Therefore, this new scholarship program is designed to accommodate those choosing to pursue their career at IOT throughout the year.”
Dr. Roger C. Andersen, BrightStar Education Group Chief Academic Officer adds, “IOT is striving to serve those who want to pursue a vocational program and for whom this scholarship will financially assist them to achieve their career goal.”
The Institute of Technology has California campuses in Clovis, Modesto, Citrus Heights, and Redding. IOT also has a campus in Salem, Oregon. Not all programs are offered at all campuses. To maintain eligibility for the scholarship, the student must remain continuously enrolled throughout his/her program of study and maintain satisfactory academic progress.
