Patricia Varga, Visionary Behind Create to Heal, "The Mobile App for Cancer Patients" Wins ProHatch’s First #GET_HATCHED Crowdfunding Competition
New York, NY (PRWEB) September 09, 2013 -- ProHatch (http://www.prohatch.com) announces that Patricia Varga, founder of The Women with Wings Foundation (http://www.womenwwings.org) has been selected as the Winner of ProHatch’s #GET_HATCHED Crowdfunding Competition. Patricia is running a 3 Phase/90 Day campaign, and was able to reach and surpass her campaign’s Phase I funding goal by 118%. As the Winner, Patricia will receive a $5,000 contribution to Phase II of her campaign and 5 complimentary Focus Sessions with ProHatch’s founding team.
For a number of years now Patricia has been actively bringing her special program of creativity to cancer patients, domestic violence survivors and women in crisis. She uses music, guided meditation, art, color, creative writing techniques and other forms of art tools to teach and encourage participants to "get out of their heads and into their hearts", where they can begin to heal holistically. Through her teaching programs, Patricia has witnessed the healing power of creativity first-hand, and is now on a mission to bring this healing power to patient’s fingertips across the country through the creation of a mobile application.
"To date, my crowdfunding experience with ProHatch has been very powerful, insightful and inspiring," said Patricia Varga, founder of The Women with Wings Foundation and Create to Heal. "If you absolutely know in your heart that you are creating a valuable product or service, it becomes very easy to ask for donations. I approach crowdfunding with an open mind, an open heart, passion and discipline. It's like anything else in life: commit, connect and follow through. And, any amount is a gift! I am just as grateful for the $25 donations as I am for the $250.00 donations. I will be using the funds raised through ProHatch to begin work developing the design and functionality of the app - which will be available on all smart phones, tablets and devices, free to patients and their families as they go through their journey with cancer."

"Patricia was incredibly disciplined in building her funding community. Beginning with the people she has long inspired, friends and family willingly showed their support with funding and sharing early in the campaign. Patricia spread her message to an even larger audience as she engaged with her community and promoted her cause to influencers in the field of creative healing. Not only has Patricia achieved her Phase I funding goal, she has created a growing voice for her work and her mission to bring creative healing to the crowd," said Elizabeth Kulik, Co-Founder and CEO of ProHatch.
Requirements for entry into ProHatch’s Crowdfunding Competition included:
