SAR Productions Presents Interview with Cast and Director of ‘David Is Dying’
London (PRWEB) September 09, 2013 -- After scooping eight international film awards, on July 4th 2012, UK independent movie ‘David Is Dying’ finally got its international DVD release. Accompanying the main feature on the DVD is a 25-minute interview with most of the main cast and the writer/director of the movie.
The interview film was directed and edited by Charlie Emseis, whom later went on to cut Jackson’s next feature film ‘Sable Fable’, which went on to win grand jury prizes at the 17th American Black Film Festival in Miami this year for best director and best narrative feature.
This interview film contains discussions with the main cast members, Lonyo Engele, Isaura Barb´- Brown, Brigitte Millar, Allan Sealy and the writer/director Stephen Lloyd Jackson. However, the film excludes Stephen Samuel Jackson Jnr, the director’s son, whom plays young ‘David’.
In the interview, the cast and director talks about preparing for their parts. They give a frank discussion about being on set and filming certain scenes. Jackson talks about how he came up with the story and some of the inspirations behind the idea, from the cinematography by Greek cinematographer Olympia Mytilinaiou, to the awarding winning score by Taiwan composer and violinist Shan - Ming Lin.
The interview film is available to stream on the ‘David Is Dying’ You Tube channel and can be purchased on the film’s DVD through Amazon.
