Haxan Films Holds Open Casting Call for 'Maulers' in Frederick, Maryland
Frederick, MD (PRWEB) September 09, 2013 -- Director Eduardo Sanchez of Haxan Films (“The Blair Witch Project”, “Lovely Molly”) will be holding an open casting call in Frederick, Md. for his new movie “Maulers.” The open call will be held on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Frederick Gorilla magazine’s booth during the In the Street festivities in conjunction with the Frederick Film Office.

Casting will be held for both “ravers” and “maulers” roles.
Ravers:
• Male and female
• Ages 18-30
• Some physical activity required for role
• Appropriate dress encouraged
Maulers:
• Ages 18+
• Male
• Physically opposing physique
• Physical activity required for role
Résumés and headshots are encouraged but not required. Interested parties will need to fill out information on-site as well as have a photo taken. Callbacks for speaking parts are a possibility.
In conjunction with the open casting call, Frederick Gorilla magazine will be hosting a contest allowing one social media user to win a walk on in the movie. To qualify for consideration, the potential candidate must use social media (specifically Instagram, Twitter, Vine and/or Facebook) and the hashtag #maulersmovie. The winner will be announced on Sept. 15 on the magazine’s Facebook and Twitter accounts (http://www.facebook.com/thefredgorilla) (http://www.twitter.com/thefredgorilla).
Fans will be able to meet Sanchez at the event, as well as have the opportunity to purchase pre-production promotional items related to “Maulers.”
The film will begin shooting at various locations in Maryland in the coming months.
