SquashedTM changes the paradigm of board games by forcing players to think in three dimensions.

“SquashedTM is a fantastic new 3D board game that wonderfully adds a whole new dimension to board games with its cubic shape and play option variety,” says Tim Kimber, owner and CEO of PlaSmart Inc. “We noticed and highly appreciated SquashedTM at its first appearance at The Chicago Toy and Game Fair, where we eagerly started working with the super talented Nick Metzler on adding this game to the smart and amusing products we proudly distribute around the world.”

As its creator, Nick Metzler, describes it, SquashedTM changes the paradigm of board games by forcing players to think in three dimensions. Its very nature results in the cube being flipped multiple times, causing dramatic power shifts in the omnipresent race to the top of the cube. Play the game, think in three dimensions, and squash your competition out of the game!

“Becoming the first two-time winner of the senior division of the Young Inventor Challenge was rewarding,” admits Metzler. “But having SquashedTM licensed by PlaSmart Inc. is beyond exciting.”

About Squashed and its Inventor, Nick Metzler
Recommended for ages 6 and up, and retailing for $30 in specialty, mass and online retailers such as and, SquashedTM is the multiple-level activity game in which two to four players place their pawns on four sides of a large-size cube and strategically try to eliminate each other’s pawns by squashing them one by one or by flipping the cube for a total wipeout. The last pawn standing on the squashed cube, besides the ‘King’, wins!

SquashedTM was invented by Nick Metzler, an extraordinary young man from Orland Park, IL, who since the age of five has created about twenty board and card games, and has won twice Chicago Toy and Game Fair’s Young Inventor Challenge with That’s Cheating in 2010 and The Cube – the initial name of the SquashedTM game – in 2011. Nick established his own company, Messy Desk Ideas, Inc., where he humorously refers to himself as the COE, Chief of Everything. He is currently studying Business with an emphasis on Entrepreneurial Strategies at the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business, and he spent his 2013 summer vacation contributing ingenious challenges to the upcoming “Survivor” show episodes.
