Goodwill Community Foundation®’s Rev. Dennis McLain Brings Global Perspective to Wesley Theological Seminary Board of Governors
Durham, NC (PRWEB) September 20, 2013 -- Reverend Dennis McLain, president of Goodwill Community Foundation® (GCF) has been elected to the board of governors of Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC.
Through his leadership of Goodwill Indutries of Eastern North Carolina (GIENC) and GCF® McLain brings a global perspective of outreach. Over the last 30 years, he has worked with organizations in eastern North Carolina and around the world to improve the quality of lives for children, people with disabilities and people who need the technology, math and English skills needed to be successful in the emerging global world of work.
“It is an honor to provide leadership and global perspective to the Wesley Theological Seminary board of governors,” says McLain. “My passion for international outreach began during my time as a student at Wesley. It played a pivotal role in creating an organization that has a network of regional, national and international partners working toward enabling people to improve their quality of life.”
McLain is a 1970 graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary where he was awarded his Masters of Divinity Degree. He is an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church and is appointed by the Bishop of the Southern Indiana Conference to Goodwill as his ministry.
