Windward Delivers Roundhouse Kicks To Non-Customized Reporting at APEX Conference
Boulder, Colorado (PRWEB) September 10, 2013 -- Companies attending the 10th annual Colorado Technology Association's APEX conference will have the opportunity to experience the feel of breaking through the wall of hard-to-use reporting with Windward, a leading provider of customized reporting, document generation and business intelligence software solutions. Windward is an exhibitor at APEX, the Colorado technology industry’s annual conference for celebrating accomplishment and setting the direction for the coming year, which takes place in Denver on September 10-11, 2013.
Conference participants who stop by the Windward booth will have the chance to try their moves on the karate breakboard, which represents the liberating feel of breaking through the board of hard-to-use, cruddy in-house reporting. Plus, they can participate in a reporting appraisal and learn how to create customized reports via the Microsoft Office interface. Because Windward uses Microsoft Word and Excel as its layout tool, non-developers have the ability to design reports, with software they already know how to use, that look exactly the way they envision in their heads.
"Every company has the challenge of pulling data from their databases and getting it into a usable format that allows them to make vital business decisions," said Shirley Clawson, CEO of Windward. "This transformation can only be accomplished with customizable tools. APEX will allow us to show attendees how our unique approach can help and to answer the 'how can we do this?' questions that every business has."
Windward's tools keep report and document creation to a three-step process. Companies can insert data stored in databases, XML files, Excel spreadsheets, SharePoint lists and other data sources into templates designed in Microsoft Office. Reports and documents are generated in the Windward Java or .NET Engine or via the platform-agnostic, web-based Javelin server. The final product can be output in a wide range of formats, including DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, PDF, HTML, RTF, XLS, WordML, TXT, CSV or direct to print.
In addition to hosting personalized sessions during the day, Windward will also have a presence at the sold-out APEX Awards Dinner on September 10 at the Denver Hyatt Regency at Convention Center. Clawson will be joined by Windward CTO David Thielen, and the two will meet with other software luminaries from technology organizations companies including the Governor's Office of Information Technology, Aegis Identity Software, Inc., Greystone Technology Group, Integro, and Inversoft.
"Businesses of all industries, sizes and locations around the globe – we have customers in more than 70 countries – rely on Windward software," Clawson added. "We're looking forward to meeting in person businesses located in our home state of Colorado."
