Palo Alto Software Unveiling New Dashboard for SMB Planning and Managing During National Conference
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) September 09, 2013 -- Palo Alto Software will unveil Scoreboard, a new online dashboard that helps businesses track their financial numbers and goals in real time, to the America’s Small Business Development Center annual conference this week.
Scoreboard, part of the LivePlan online business planning and tracking suite, offers small businesses a step-by-step process for turning business plans into action items and charting progress toward goals, helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses faster by avoiding common pitfalls. The cloud-based dashboard gives business owners a live snapshot of their financials through QuickBooks integration, shows actual results compared to budget goals, and helps identify inaccurate assumptions and faulty forecasts.
Sabrina Parsons, CEO of Palo Alto Software, will give a demonstration of the Scoreboard and other LivePlan features – including an online pitch page and export tool that quickly turns pitches into PowerPoint presentations – during a Sept. 11 conference seminar.
“All too often, entrepreneurs develop a business plan to get a loan or impress an investor, then ignore the very document they created to shape their business,” Parsons said. “With Scoreboard, entrepreneurs can engage in ‘live planning,’ adjusting their plans as their businesses grow and change. Right now, we’re the only software provider offering a tool that allows entrepreneurs to craft pitches, and jump immediately from planning to tracking.”
Where LivePlan provides online support and guidance, ASBDC provides offline mentoring for small businesses and entrepreneurs across the country. In addition to sponsoring the conference, Palo Alto Software will be donating LivePlan licenses to nearly 1,000 SBDC offices nationwide along with assistance hosting business pitch and plan competitions at each office – a donation totaling $2.6 million for the 2013-2014 fiscal year.
“I’ve found the Palo Alto Software products, over the years, to be beneficial to the small business community,” said Arlene Soto, Director of Southwestern Oregon Community College’s SBDC. “LivePlan is a tool that makes it easier for the small business to do what needs to be done.”
The 2013 America’s SBDC Annual Conference will take place Sept. 9 to 12 at the Peabody Orlando Hotel in Orlando, Fla. For more information about LivePlan or the Scoreboard feature, visit http://www.liveplan.com.
