The Do-It-Yourself Drainage Solution
Designed to showcase real-life applications, NDS’ new microsite displays a clickable house and yard that features eight of the most common drainage problems: water on the patio or pool deck, downspout runoff, water on the driveway, water in the basement or crawl space, water in the planter area, water on the walkway, water in the yard and neighbor runoff. Homeowners can scroll over and select their problem, learn more about the causes and consequences and then locate the NDS drainage system and products necessary for the fix.
Because only 35 percent of homeowners with drainage problems make an attempt to fix them, the NDS microsite also lays out the potential challenges homeowners might face if they ignore the problem, which include property damage, a decline in aesthetics and usability and even health concerns.

After the homeowner chooses their drainage issue, NDS offers possible product solutions that range from high capacity, to medium and low capacity and is based on the amount of precipitation in their area. Each solution outlines a complete drainage system and includes information on drainage effectiveness, material cost and physical labor required, so homeowners can make an informed decision on potential next steps. Installation instructions are included and while the NDS product solutions are easily manageable as a DIY project, the microsite also offers resources to assist in locating qualified contractors through the various NDS product distributors across the country. The new microsite also provides informative articles and videos illustrating the best plan for their needs.
