Unisource to Host 24th Annual Chicago Paper Show
Norcross, GA (PRWEB) September 10, 2013 -- Unisource Worldwide will host its annual Unisource Chicago Paper Show on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at the historic Hilton Hotel in downtown Chicago.
The Unisource Chicago Paper Show is the nation's largest graphic design event sponsored by a paper distributor. The well-established show – an exclusive, invitation-only event – attracts approximately 1,000 of the leading designers and commercial printers from around the Chicago area, which is one of the leading graphic arts markets in the U.S.
“Unisource has a long history of commitment to the vibrant Chicago graphic arts community,” said Andrew Dembitz, Director of Specification Unisource/Chicago. “We’ve put together another exciting event and are excited about using the power of social media to drive awareness and create buzz for the show.”
The 24th Annual Unisource Chicago Paper Show will include these featured exhibits and keynote presentation:
• Keynote Presentation: Russ Maki, President of Graphic Conservation Co., will discuss the company’s extensive work in the highly specialized area of paper conservation, further supporting the importance and permanence of paper as a communication medium.
• Chicago 50 Corporate Communications Show: Featuring annual reports, corporate brochures, and sustainability reports representing 50 of Chicago’s finest companies and institutions.
• STA Archive Poster Retrospective: Displaying 20 posters for the Society of Typographic Arts’ Archive Competition designed by Chicago’s foremost designers and firms.
• French Paper through the Years: Showcasing a collection of historical promotions, photographs, and memorabilia documenting French Paper’s 142-year history.
The show will include environmental exhibitions by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Sustainable Forestry Initiative Inc. ® (SFI). Other exhibitors include Munro Campagna Artist Representatives and some of the world’s leading paper mills: CTI Paper USA, Domtar Corporation, French Paper, groupo Portucel Soporcel, MACtac (a Bemis Company), MeadWestvaco, Mohawk Fine Papers, Neenah Paper, NewPage, ReichPaper, Sappi Fine Paper, Scheufelen, and YUPO.
Again this year, proceeds from show admission will benefit Marwen of Chicago.
