The College earned its top-tier placement from an assessment by U.S. News & World Report that measures key factors, such as academic reputation, selectivity and faculty resources. Data from several national liberal arts colleges are gathered from each college and used as indicators of academic excellence. Each factor is assigned a weight that reflects the judgment of U.S. News & World Report on the importance of each measure. The colleges in each category are then ranked against their peers, based on their composite weighted score. For more information, go to usnews.com.
