The Network Receives Two 2013 Communicator Awards for Code of Ethics and Harassment & Discrimination Training Solutions
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) September 12, 2013 -- The Network, Inc., a leading provider of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) solutions, has received two 2013 Communicator Silver Awards of Distinction from the International Academy of Visual Arts (IAVA) for its ethics & compliance-related training course, “Harassment & Discrimination: Maintaining Respect,” and for its rewrite and redesign of the Code of Ethics and Manager’s Guide for CSX Corporation.
The Communicator Awards were presented to The Network in the “Interactive Multimedia - Corporate Training” category and for the “Employee Publication - Internal Communications” category. Both the interactive anti-harassment and discrimination training and the Code of Ethics projects received the Silver Award of Distinction, presented for work that exceeds industry standards in quality and achievement.
“We are both excited and amazed by the quality of work received for the 19th Annual Communicator Awards,” said Linda Day, executive director of the International Academy of the Visual Arts. “This year’s class of entries is a true reflection of the progressive and innovative nature of marketing and communications. On behalf of the entire Academy, I want to applaud The Network for their dedication to perfecting their craft as they continue to push the envelope of creativity.”
“Our company mission is to embed ethical decision making and respectful behavior into the fabric of the corporate culture,” said Julie Moriarty, The Network’s general manager of training and communications strategy. “Creating a compelling, interactive learner experience for such a crucial topic as harassment and discrimination exemplifies that mission. We are thrilled to be recognized for this course.”
The “Maintaining Respect” harassment and discrimination course also includes extensive content needed to meet strict state mandates for harassment training.
“For the CSX Code of Ethics and the accompanying Manager’s Guide, we incorporated imagery, content and scenarios that reflect the company’s corporate culture,” said Jay Thomas, creative director, The Network. “Our design and writing team worked collaboratively with CSX to produce a creative, engaging resource that helps employees at all levels of the company stay on the right track and stay true to their vision and core values.”
The Communicator Awards is an international awards program recognizing big ideas in marketing and communications. Founded nearly two decades ago, the program receives over 6,000 entries from companies and agencies of all sizes, making it one of the largest awards of its kind in the world. The award honors work that transcends innovation and craft – work that made a lasting impact – and gives communications and creative professionals proof and validation that their work is highly regarded by their peers within the industry.
The Communicator Awards are judged and overseen by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA), a 600+ member organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media.
