Sacramento, CA (PRWEB) September 10, 2013
Kurt A. Kappes, co-managing shareholder of the Sacramento office and national co-chair of the Labor & Employment Practice’s Non-Compete/Trade Secrets and Employment Contract Litigation team, at international law firm Greenberg Traurig, has been selected by the Sacramento Business Journal as one of Sacramento’s “Best of the Bar.”
The Business Journal’s “Best of the Bar” list was, “developed out of the newspaper’s intimate knowledge of the local legal scene. It recognizes local attorneys who have been nominated by their peers and vetted by a panel of their peers.” According to the Business Journal, “there’s no substitute for the opinion of professionals who have worked extensively with – and against – one another.”
Mr. Kappes has wide-ranging trial and pretrial experience and represents clients in many complex litigation cases involving labor and employment issues, advisory matters, trade secret audits, contracts, discrimination claims, whistleblower cases, and wrongful termination litigation.
He is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America and a member of the American Bar Association, the International Technology Law Association, and The Milton L. Schwartz/David F. Levi American Inn of Court. Mr. Kappes was listed by The Legal 500 United States directory for Trades Secrets. He is also a team member of Greenberg Traurig’s Appellate Practice Group. The employment and appellate groups were recognized by Law360 for "Employment Practice Group of the Year" in 2011 and "Appellate Practice Group of the Year" in 2010.
Mr. Kappes received his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law and his B.A., summa cum laude, from Butler University.
