UPROUND Conference Attracts Top Investors and Entrepreneurs From Venture Capital Community

An impressive list of highly regarded and influential leaders from the venture capital community are scheduled to speak at the UPROUND Investor Conference being held in San Francisco, Thursday, September 12.

The conference, which is being produced by FundersClub, will feature other top industry leaders including investors Garry Tan, partner at Y Combinator; George Kellerman partner at 500 Startups; Mahendra Ramsinghani, managing director First Step Fund and author of The Business of Venture Capital; Andy White, partner at VegasTechFund; Alex Mittal, co-founder and CEO FundersClub; Adam Draper, founder and CEO at Boost.vc and Horacio Melo, executive director at Startup Chile.

The morning session will feature Ariel Poler, serial entrepreneur and well-known angel investor who will deliver a keynote speech, “Angel Investing - Lessons Learned” drawing on his years of experience in venture working at both ends of the spectrum--as an entrepreneur and as an investor. Following Mr. Poler, Aileen Lee, founder of Cowboy Ventures and partner at the investment powerhouse, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, will deliver a talk titled “Investing in Life 2.0” where she’ll recount stories using real-life examples from her years as a venture capitalist.

The afternoon session will be kicked off by Josh Kopelman, managing partner at First Round Capital, the distinguished early-stage VC firm, with a talk titled “Innovating in Seed Stage VC.” Aydin Senkut, founder and managing director at Felicis Ventures will present his topic, “Evaluating A Startup: How I make my investment decisions.” The afternoon session will be capped by Jeff Fluhr, founder of StubHub and Spreecast.

The UPROUND Conference is also being headlined by a number of highly accomplished entrepreneurs including: Jessica Mah, co-founder and CEO of Indinero; Chris Bennett, co-founder and CEO of Soldsie; Bill Clerico, founder and CEO of WePay, among others.
