So it’s time to admit that summer is over, but that means that fall is here and Lake Tahoe should be getting excited for the upcoming festival that fall brings with it.

Fall Festival and Chili Cook Off - September 14 - free
For the second year in a row this South Lake Tahoe event will be returning for another scrumptious smelling day of chili cooking and fun. Vendors will be selling fall and winter items and prizes are given away all day long. This event takes place at the South Lake Tahoe Recreation Complex from 10 am - 4 pm.

Tahoe Autumn Festival - September 21 - free
From live music to wellness talks, the Tahoe Autumn Festival will bring in this lovely season with an eventful day of excitement. Features include music, talks, food, a pumpkin patch, crafts and other seasonal activities. Tahoe Autumn Festival takes place at the Lake Tahoe Community College from 11 am - 4 pm.

Kiwanis Club SeptOberfest - September 26 - $35 - $40
Prost! No one can say no to a refreshing beer, so join this day filled with music and dancing, contests, German food and, of course, tasty suds. The event takes place at the MontBleu Resort Casino, and goes from 6 pm - 10 pm.

Oktoberfest at Historic Camp Richardson - October 5 - 6
Hop from hop to hop. Get out those dirndls and lederhosen at the Historic Camp Richardson Oktoberfest. The festival includes German food, craft booths, a pumpkin patch, a human/dog costume contest, and beer!

Pony and Pumpkin Festival - October 11 - 13 - free
The Pony and Pumpkin Festival is a wonderful event for the whole family. Kids will love the pony and wagon rides, and we know dad will get very into the scarecrow building. Other festival features include live music, demonstrations, games, a bounce house and a beer garden! The Pony and Pumpkin Festival takes place from 10 am - 6 pm.
