Vector Software Announces ISO 26262 Compliance Webcast Series
Providence, RI (PRWEB) September 16, 2013 -- Vector Software, the world’s leading provider of innovative software solutions for testing safety and mission critical embedded applications, announced today that the company will be offering a two-part "Achieving ISO 26262" compliance webinar series. By joining the webcasts, attendees will gain insights from experienced testing professionals about time saving tips for achieving ISO 26262 compliance.
Offered in two parts, the webcast series will provide examples of how to achieve ISO 26262 compliance using a case study from a major automotive company, and show how the VectorCAST™ software test solution can help organizations fulfill the requirements. The first webcast, entitled “How the Software Testing Requirements of ISO 26262 Influence Product Quality at a Major Automotive Company” will be held on September 26 at 11 AM EST, and the second webinar entitled “Using VectorCAST to Achieve ISO 26262 Compliance” will convene on October 3 at 11 AM EST.
In part one of the ISO 26262 series, viewers will learn from Mr. Sandro Bretterklieber, founder of REBUG GmbH in Austria. Mr. Bretterklieber will reflect on a major automotive supplier’s experience implementing the standard, and cover these topics:
• Principle components of ISO 26262 and how they impact software testing
• Theory and practice – review of each ISO requirement and how it improves product quality, while keeping testing efficient
• Where this company is headed, having adopted ISO 26262
In part two of the series, attendees will see how organizations can meet ISO 26262 embedded software testing requirements using the VectorCAST software test solution — meeting rigorous road vehicle functional safety standards found in part 4 and part 6 of the ISO 26262 standard. In addition, these topics will be covered:
• An overview of the ISO 26262 software testing requirements
• Performing successful unit testing
• Automating embedded target testing
“Software projects understandably find meeting the new ISO 26262 standard challenging” said William McCaffrey, Chief Operating Officer at Vector Software. “That is why we are offering this webinar series – to provide some valuable insight into the best practices related to the adoption of ISO 26262 as experienced by our consultants as well as one of our customers.”
