Woman Arrested Following a Five-Vehicle Miami Accident
(PRWEB) September 12, 2013 -- Isis Margarita Cesar, 36, was arrested on August 6, 2013 and charged with DUI manslaughter. The arrest was in connection with a car accident involving five vehicles, which left the driver of one of the vehicles dead. Cesar is being held at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center without bond, according to NBC Miami (8.7.13).
The accident happened around 2pm on May 9, 2013. Cesar was arriving at the intersection of 47th and NW 7th Avenue and struck a vehicle attempting to make a left turn. The collision caused Cesar's vehicle to strike the vehicle of Juan Liriano, 71 sending it airborne. Liriano died as a result of the five-car accident according the NBC Miami.
On August 5, 2013, Cesar surrendered to police. She had reportedly been driving 30 mph over the speed limit of the area and was under the influence of alcohol when the accident occurred. After the accident, Cesar told a nurse she was taking medications and smoked marijuana the day before. She faces multiple charges including manslaughter and DUI.
