International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) Announces “Rising Star” Award Finalists
Fairfax, VA (PRWEB) September 12, 2013 -- The International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC), the premier international, networking and professional growth organization for women in the restructuring and insolvency industry, is pleased to announce the 2013 finalists for its 3rd Annual “Rising Star” Award.
The five finalists are:
Jodi Cooke – Jodi is a member of the Florida and Alabama Networks. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the Florida Network and Co-Program Chair of the Alabama Network. She is a bankruptcy and creditor’s rights attorney with Beggs Lane, RLLP in Pensacola, Florida.
Kara Casteel – Kara is a member of the Minnesota Network and currently serves as Co-Chair and Co-Founder of the Minnesota Network. She is an insolvency and restructuring attorney with ASK LLP in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Sarah Frankel – Sarah is a member of the New York Network and currently serves as Co-Chair of the New York Network. She is a Business Development Specialist in Corporate Restructuring with Garden City Group in New York, New York.
Leigh-Anne Raport – Leigh-Anne is a member of the Delaware Network and currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Delaware Network. She is a bankruptcy and insolvency attorney with Ashby & Geddes, P.A. in Wilmington, Delaware.
Charla Smith – Charla is a member of the Western Canada Network where she currently serves as Registrar/Secretary of the Western Canada Network. She is an accountant and Senior Manager of the Advisor Services Group of Grant Thornton Limited in Calgary, Alberta Canada.
The Rising Star Award is bestowed upon an IWIRC member with 8 or less years of experience in her respective field; who has made considerable contributions to her professional success and displayed a high-level of commitment to advancing IWIRC’s mission—enhancing the professional status of women in the insolvency and restructuring profession—at the local, national and/or international levels.
The talented group of finalists were chosen from a group of twelve nominees from IWIRC networks throughout the world that include attorneys, bankers, turnaround advisors, claims & noticing agents and other restructuring industry consultants & professionals who are actively engaged in the restructuring industry.
The 3rd Annual “Rising Star” Award will be awarded at a luncheon that will take place during IWIRC’s 20th Annual Fall Conference in Atlanta, Georgia on October 30, 2013.
