KMK Law Partner Michael L. Scheier To Be Inducted as Fellow to Litigation Counsel of America
Cincinnati, OH (PRWEB) September 12, 2013 -- Keating Muething & Klekamp PLL(KMK Law) is pleased to announce that Michael L. Scheier, a Partner in its Litigation Practice, will be inducted into the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA) at the LCA’s 2013 Fall Conference and Celebration of Fellows to be held October 16-18.
The LCA is an honorary trial lawyer society comprised of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Fellowship in the LCA is highly selective and by invitation only. Fellows are selected based upon effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels, and superior ethical reputation.
Mike Scheier is a trial lawyer who also helps clients manage their litigation risks and achieve cost-effective non-litigation solutions. His practice is concentrated in the defense of ERISA fiduciary duty claims and defending corporate directors and officers in state law actions alleging breaches of fiduciary duties. Scheier also focuses his practice in enforcement of creditors’ rights and has developed extensive experience in bankruptcy court, state law insolvency and collection disputes.
Scheier has held several positions in firm management at KMK, including tenure as the KMK Litigation Practice Group Leader. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he teaches trial technique and practice. Scheier is admitted to practice in Ohio. He is a member of the American Association for Justice, the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association and the Cincinnati Bar Association. Scheier is AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, signifying his peers rate him at the highest level of professional excellence.
