Dr. Smita Savant-Bhonsale, Experienced Healthcare Industry Professional, Joins Command Strategies LLC

Dr. Savant-Bhonsale brings to the Command Strategies team over 20 years of experience in the biological and medical fields, both in research and management. She has significant experience in obtaining and managing federal and private funding in a wide range of healthcare research and applications. Her previous experience has included work in the private sector and for the Department of Defense.
Prior to joining Command Strategies, Dr. Savant-Bhonsale served as a Deputy Director, Science & Technology, Armed Forces Institute of Regenerative Medicine (AFIRM), an organization focused on the development of cutting edge regenerative medicine therapies for our wounded warriors. She has more than two decades of experience in medical research at nationally recognized institutions, including a five-year fellowship at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Savant-Bhonsale is a published researcher and holds a Ph.D. in Developmental Biology from Marquette University and a M.S in Microbiology from the University of Baroda, India.
