IngagePatient Secures 2014 ONC Certification
Gainesville, Florida (PRWEB) September 17, 2013 -- RegisterPatient, the provider of the industry’s premier patient engagement platform, IngagePatient, announced today that it is the first patient engagement solution to be designated as an ONC-certified Ambulatory EHR module including 20 of the 2014 Edition’s criteria. The certificate (number 09062013-2023-5) is authorized to help eligible healthcare organizations demonstrate that they are “meaningfully” using a certified electronic health record (EHR) to qualify for incentive payments from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
The certification, received from Drummond Group, Inc. on September 6, 2013, demonstrates that IngagePatient has the most comprehensive patient engagement platform available, providing the functionality and security necessary to support physician practices in meeting the requirements for Stage 2 Meaningful Use. To achieve Meaningful Use, healthcare organizations and providers must prove that they are leveraging technology to capture and exchange accurate health information empowering patients to take a more active role in their own care, outside the doctor’s office. IngagePatient is 2014 Edition compliant and has been certified by an ONC-ACB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services or guarantee the receipt of incentive payments.
To address expanding requirements that are critical to improving patient outcomes, IngagePatient has built an expanded feature set including robust two-way communication, push notifications to support population health management and referral capabilities all available to patients in an elegantly designed mobile application. Moving forward, IngagePatient will continue to add features that address certification requirements and enhance remote access to providers by patients.
“As a company, we are dedicated to delivering actionable patient engagement tools to providers and patients that improve access to healthcare and support providers in managing the impact of healthcare reform,” said Jana Jones, CEO of RegisterPatient. “We’re thrilled to achieve this milestone as it provides our partners in the Electronic Health Record, Revenue Cycle Management and Practice Administration verticals with a patient facing solution that enhances quality of care, patient safety and efficiency and eligibility for reimbursement.”
