Fayetteville, NC (PRWEB) September 12, 2013
Advanced Internet Technologies, Inc. (AIT.com), the longest established privately owned web hosting company, made a donation of over $1,000 to the local American Red Cross Office in Fayetteville, NC in support of the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, and pledged future support as well. AIT’s held a fund raising campaign from June through Labor Day for every domain name registered by its customers. This is the culmination of AIT’s efforts to help support the Red Cross after the tornado struck in Moore, Oklahoma earlier this year.
On hand for the American Red Cross were Phil Harris, new Executive Director of the Highlands Chapter in Fayetteville, NC, and several Board Members of the Red Cross. Presenting the check was Mr. Clarence Briggs, CEO of AIT. "We have lived through such a disaster ourselves with a tornado striking Fayetteville in April of 2011 and damaging my son’s school.” “I have made a commitment to partnering with the Red Cross to help support their efforts in serving the people of this country in time of need,” stated Briggs.
“This has been a rewarding experience for AIT and our employees in supporting the work of the American Red Cross,” said Michael Roberts, AIT Chief Operating Officer. "We are excited to be a community partner and look forward to how we can leverage our knowledge and experience in the web hosting industry to help the efforts of the American Red Cross.”
“We are so thankful for our partners like AIT. If not for their generosity, we could not fulfill our mission of providing lifesaving services like disaster relief and services for our military families. Through our supporters we touch 1 in every 10 people in our area,” said Harris.
