MK Precision Joins Nationwide Celebration of US Manufacturing on Oct 4, 2013
Warminster, PA (PRWEB) September 13, 2013 -- On Oct 4, 2013 from 10am-4pm MK Precision, a medical device contract manufacturer, has committed to hosting an open house event to promote the importance and sustainability of US based manufacturing. The event will include shop tours, live machining demonstrations, and the opportunity to speak with current employees of MK Precision. This event offers transparency to those interested in high-quality, custom-made precision components and introduces everyone to the new world of advanced CNC manufacturing.
MK Precision has always been passionate about generating awareness on manufacturing education and career opportunities. In 2011, owner Michael Klesh organized a rally to save CNC programs at Middle Bucks Institute of Technology. Mr. Klesh was a graduate of this program and was disappointed that it was no longer going to be offered in the same capacity. It was also a major loss to the surrounding manufacturing community as they face a dwindling skilled workforce.
This latest event in support of MFG Day is an opportunity to invite members of the community, local schools and anyone else who is curious about learning more about manufacturing. It will address common misperceptions about manufacturing, help connect with future generations, take charge of the public image of manufacturing, and ensure the ongoing prosperity of the whole industry.
Supported by a group of industry sponsors and co-producers, MFG DAY is designed to amplify the voice of individual manufacturers and coordinate a collective chorus of manufacturers with common concerns and challenges. The rallying point for a growing mass movement, MFG DAY empowers manufacturers to come together to address their collective challenges so they can help their communities and future generations thrive.
