Duluth, MN (PRWEB) September 12, 2013 -- The City of Duluth has the best tasting drinking water in Minnesota, according to a panel of judges at the MN American Water Works Association’s (AWWA) Annual Conference. The 2013 “Best in Glass” drinking water taste test championship was held today at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center. St. Peter, St. Cloud, Moorhead, Rochester, Mankato, East Grand Forks, and International Falls also competed. Duluth, International Falls, Moorhead, and St. Cloud made it into the finals. Duluth takes home a trophy and wall plaque, as well as bragging rights for being named the 2013 Best in Glass winner.
International Falls was selected as the people’s choice winner for best tasting drinking water at the 2013 Minnesota State Fair, and came in second at today’s competition. Last year, International Falls took home the Best in Glass trophy from the MNAWWA Conference, and went on to tie for second place during the AWWA’s national “Best of the Best” drinking water competition in Denver.
The MNAWWA’s annual conference runs through Friday at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center.
