Sports Bra Brand Freya Active Call for Netball Fans to Unite in Red
Desborough, Northamptonshire (PRWEB UK) 13 September 2013 -- Freya Active, the brand behind a wide range of sports bras, are asking England Netball supporters to wear red when they join the crowd for the team’s FIAT international test series against South Africa.
The series will see the two teams play three matches across the month, with the largest taking place on September 25th at Wembley stadium. Freya Active are hoping that the home supporters’ stand will be a sea of red, mirroring the red dresses that have become synonymous with England Netball.
To coincide with the September matches, Freya Active are also introducing a brand new sports bra colour: Hot Crimson red. The brand’s other red shades are already amongst their best selling colours; and Hot Crimson will be available in the moulded sports bra, underwired sports and underwired performance top.
Since becoming their official sports bra supplier in January 2012, Freya Active have been working with England Netball to raise awareness of the importance of wearing a correctly fitting bra when playing sport.
On the court, it’s been a good year for England Netball, with the team winning every match so far in 2013 – including major victories against Jamaica and Australia. The next six months are crucial in the run-up to the Commonwealth Games, where the team are also hoping to perform well.
Sasha Corbin, England Netball’s Wing Attack, explained the importance of the Unite in Red campaign: “For me growing up, playing netball was all about the red dress! I am so proud to now wear the iconic red dress as a professional netball player on the court, after all of the hard work and dedication I have put into the game – it feels amazing! Wembley is sure to be buzzing with support from the crowd and to see a red haze surrounding us would just be incredible!”
