Hosted by Jimmy Johnson, “Leading Edge” Will Highlight the Important Role That National Parks Play in Our Culture Today
(PRWEB) September 14, 2013 -- Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Yellowstone… these are just a few of the historic national parks playing an important role in American culture. More than just landmarks, national parks are cultural icons of American history and identity. Their beauty and grandeur have inspired famous national American Hymns, such as “American the Beautiful” as well as other music, works of art, and literature. These vast landscapes carry with them a history of American civilization that, through preservation, can be passed on to future generations.
Understanding the cultural significance, there are many organizations devoted to preserving our nearly 400 national U.S. parks. “Leading Edge with Jimmy Johnson” has created a series for Public Television to educate the audience on cultural significance of national parks. The “Leading Edge” Series will feature historical societies and national park preservationists working to maintain these natural wonders.
The series is distributed to Public Television stations throughout the United States and is not distributed through PBS. Please visit the Leading Edge website at http://www.leadingedgeseries.com or email the producers at info(at)leadingedgeseries(dot)com for more information.
